Coaching & Learning

Wow! I've learnt and done so much over the past few weeks. One of the most important events was my follow up encounter with Krish, whom I met through Erin. Having been on a few coaching courses its proven a fascinating and stimulating experience to be coached. Its taught me a lot about myself and I'm enjoying the daily tasks, like completing a gratitude book, practising meditation, reading inspirational books, like "A New Earth" by Eckhardt Tolle and generally feeling empowered to learn more and do more! A wave of positivity has washed itself into my consciousness. I feel curious, hungry and alive once more. Goals are back on track, have everything to fight for and in state of calm and tranquility.

On a romance note, I'm happy with Sylvia. We had a fun weekend at the Comedy Cafe on Saturday night and I loved the cheeky text she sent me at work today ; )

Was also a plasure to catch up with Laura, Adam and Gid, their two little girls are absolute poppets and I hav toconfess of feeling slightly broody in the company of such great kids.

Work's picking up. Feeling a lot more positive than I have of late. As long as I focus on my goals, keep working hard and get stuck in, I'm sure the results will start happening!

My family have been amazing since I've moved back. Love them to bits. It may take 6 months to get everything "back on track" but at least I've got the option of being here.

Life's grand, feeling upbeat, going to kick some ass and be happy! xxx

3 Projects, 3 Months, No Sweat!

Got back from Patrick's birthday celebrations in the Pyrenees yesterday. It was fantastic to see one of my favourite uncles turn 50 with such humility and class. It was a privilege to be there amongst all the Cortes clan with Mum, Sarah, Ben and other "Ros Bifs" in two to make it a memorable affair. The mountain air has done me the world of good, helping me to think as clearly as I've done in years. There are three distinct areas of focus right now and they all stem from the stead flow of savings and finance. 1) Have sent off my forms to Steve, the IFA who has forwarded my application to the debt agency, Kensington. Fingers X that in 6 - 8 weeks I will be debt free. Yay! 2) I also have my corporate coaching course to look forward to this weekend with the Coaching Academy. The challenge there will be how flexible are the payment terms? 3) I also have to find £2K to move into a new place, on the premise of a 1 bed studio costing £1K / month. All in all this equates to working extremely hard in keeping my job and spending practically nothing during this time. Its a challenge all right and won't be that easy with summer creeping round the corner. By July though, I will have used the time to achieve these goals, got fit and slim with the added bonus of starting to win business at work. Thats what I have to visualise - a) solvency (I'd be forgiven a small party to celebrate ; ) b) a stepping stone to a promising new career and c) my own place to enjoy the best of the summer. It can be done!

What a crazy day! Started off with one of those supernatural dreams I have occasionally. I remember it oh so vividly.... I was in a lounge, (my old house in Higham's Park when I was a kid?) and as i approached the fire place the temperature plumeted. I was breathing out cold steam and then a silvery blanket of smoke engulfed me. A spirit, an enchanting being possessed my body and gave me power to fly. I took off in that very lounge, flew in an aerodynamic fashion in graceful arcs like a bird in slow motion, feeling in peace like it was the most natural thing to be doing. I awoke, perplexed, yet somehow, liberated, knowing that I was one step forward towards my path of self-discovery....

Back in the Room! Then it was off to a conference in SW7, Gloucester Road where 300 Marketeers were debating, sharing ideas and best practice on how to survive and innovate in a B2B (tough) marketplace. I felt good, better equipped mentally and spiritually in my interactions with people (my Guardian angel from the dream there perhaps?) and the experience was a positive one from start to finish.

Then I went to the Londonlaunch.com event in the Savoy for another 200 or so Event Professionals to network and quaff lots of free booze and amazing food. I met two lovely girls from UK TV who kept me entertained for the 1st half hour although were a little too corporate for my liking. Found myself in a packed theatre hall for the keynote presentation which was delivered by a superb magician. Somehow volunteered to go on stage and have him perform these strange tricks involving metal rings which he looped though my arms and hands whilst keeping my eyes closed. What possessed me (the ghost? Ha ha!) I don't know but it was great fun and I became the centre of attention with lots of nice women coming up to me afterwards for highly entertaining chats. One mature, English lady who was a company director who bungeed 350 feet and likes horseriding and a beautiful Brazilian girl called Ana (I remember her name, LOL!!) so a pretty good night all in all....

Better sign off as I'm up early. Hope I meet my friendly ghost again......

Here we go!

At last! I have finally got round to creating my own blog!

Its time to focus on things that will give rise to long-term prosperity and spirituality. I've lived a fun-fuelled existence of working hard and playing harder, making a lot of friends and experiencing some interesting relationships in the process. A new era of austerity and determination will help deliver my goals of being a successful, business owner and entrepreneur. I'm not scared anymore, the demons are quiet and have been replaced by a calm, inner voice that commands....."Go for it!"

This blog will feature some lively, honest "warts n all" anecdotes and memories of my colourful and cavalier past, mixed with observations & context in the present, combined with my outlook on what the fuure holds. I will share with my inner circle of friends and post some photos, videos to document my life and capture my thoughts and interests for posterity and memories for when I'm older.

What a pleasant Sunday its been and how peaceful I feel with myself and the world
